  • Who are Dopple?
    Dopple are a trading style of Social Money Limited authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA firm reference: 675283), a company registered in England (Reg Number: 08054296).   • How does Dopple work?
    Dopple works by displaying a range of finance options to a customer from our panel of lenders. The options displayed will be based on the industry and order value. The customer can then choose the option that best suits them. Once the customer has chosen, Dopple will forward the consumers application to the lender for a decision based on affordability and creditworthiness assessments.
  • What is a credit search?
    A credit search, often referred to as a credit check, is a process conducted by financial institutions, lenders, or other authorised entities to assess an individual’s creditworthiness. During a credit search, the entity requests information from credit reference agencies or bureaus to gather details about an individual’s financial history, including their borrowing and repayment patterns. Some lenders may use hard credit searches to assess creditworthiness.
  • How long does it take to apply online?
    The Dopple application typically takes a few minutes to complete. This application can be accessed either at the checkout of our partner merchants online, or if available by requesting the Dopple finance link instore. Subject to credit and affordability assessments. Missed payments may affect your credit file, future borrowing and incur fees. Representative Example: Total loan amount = £5,000. Repayable by 60 monthly repayments of £116.26. Total charge for credit = £1,975.81. Total amount repayable = £6,975.81. Interest rate is 14.9% per annum fixed. Representative APR 14.9% fixed. Please note, the rate which you are offered may differ from the rate above and it will depend on your personal credit circumstances. The other rates that are available are 16.9% APR and 19.9% APR.
  • Will I get charged for this service?
    While the Dopple service itself will not add any additional fees to a customer, please note that certain finance products may carry interest, which is incorporated into your monthly repayments. Additionally, the lender could impose late payment fees, which will be outlined clearly in your Credit Agreement.
  • What is an APR?
    Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is the official rate used to help you understand the cost of borrowing. It takes into account the interest rate and additional charges of a credit offer. All lenders have to tell you what their APR is before you sign a credit agreement.
  • Can I apply for credit instore?
    Dopple finance is available both online and instore.
  • What are the requirements for finance?
    You must be over 18 years of age. You should be in regular full time or part time employment (with a minimum of 16 hours a week, unless you are retired or in receipt of certain benefits). You should be a permanent UK resident holder, and able to supply a UK address history for the last 3 years, additionally you must also have a UK bank account capable of accepting direct debits. Adverse credit history can negatively affect your finance application (No CCJ’s, IVA’s or bankruptcy) The goods will be delivered to your home address. Only debit or credit cards can be used to pay the deposit.
  • How can I pay my deposit?

  • What to do to cancel at a later stage?
    If you need to cancel your credit agreement you should contact the lender. Lender contact details can be found in corresponding emails from us and in your Dopple Customer Portal.
  • How do I ask about the credit agreement?
    In the first instance you should contact your lender directly using the details found in your credit agreement. Your lender details can also be found in your Dopple portal.
  • What info is in the customer portal?
    Here you will find information pertaining to your finance agreement(s), contact details for your lender and any documents your lender has sent across.
  • What is the refund process?
    In the event of a refund, you will need to first contact the merchant / retailer and request that they process the refund. If you require any further support on this Dopple may be able to assist.
  • Why was my application declined?
    There are a number of reasons why an application can be declined and due to data protection lenders aren’t allowed to provide the exact details to us. This process is also conducted solely by the lender and Dopple have no part in the decision, nor do we receive any justification or explanation. Should you wish to find out more please contact the lender directly, using the details provided on your decline email.
  • Discuss amending your payments?
    Should you wish to make any extra payments or to request an early settlement, please contact the lender directly. Lender contact details can be found in corresponding emails from us and in your Dopple Customer Portal.
  • Problems paying my deposit online.
    Please carefully re-enter all your card details making sure they are an exact match on your card. The address the card is registered to must match the address on your finance application. Unfortunately, Dopple are unable to process card payments by phone.
  • Asking about the status of my application.
    Both Dopple and the lender will keep you updated about the status of your credit application via email. This information can also be found in your customer portal.
  • Do I need my own FCA license?
    No, we are able to add you as an Introducer Appointed Representative to Social Money Limited. Subject to Dopple’s criteria.
  • How do you determine which lenders to connect our customers with?
    Dopple puts the choice back in your customers hands. We will present the customer with the available options from our panel of lenders, the customer can then choose the right option for them.
  • Is there any training or support provided to help us effectively introduce customers?
    Yes, we provide a suite of video tutorials to ensure you are introducing finance to your customers effectively and compliantly.
  • How long does it typically take for customers to receive a lending decision?
    Lender decisions can be instant, but if they require more information from the customer to make a decision, they will contact them via email. If the application is referred, it could take up to 1-2 working days, dependent on the lender.
  • What level of customer support can we expect for any questions or issues that arise?

  • Will we have access to a Dopple Dashboard?
    Yes, you will be supplied with login details to access your dashboard which will display the progress of all your customer applications.
  • Which platforms are you able to work with?
    Shopify, Big Commerce, Opencart, Prestashop, Zencart, Woo Commerce, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Magento
  • What length of terms are there?
    12- 120 months
  • Are there any early repayment fees?
    Each lender will have their own Ts & Cs. If any early repayment fees apply, they are typically outlined in the terms and conditions of the agreement.
